i guess, i have always kinda like/love Tackey... from his Majo no Jouken to Taiyo wa Shizumanai... i have enjoyed his shows... and his recent Orthros no Inu interest me from the start even with the less than stellar ratings....
maybe its the looks, maybe its the brooding expression, maybe its the intriguing and engaging story plot that he is so used to choosing...maybe its the looks
nonetheless, i have always enjoyed him, even though it never seems to be the acting style?! haha but judge for yr self... he is rather good~
the show started off with him being the 'bad' guy though i never really saw him as that (it was lauded as his virgin role as a villain) but his reply towards how he view the character might have clouded my judgement from the start but i had a nagging feeling that he was not the real bad person.. he was in locked up for god's sake(for allegedly killing 3 people, his playmates from orphan, no less)
but somehow i keep feeling there is lots we dont know abt the guy and right up till the end, i can still say the same... still he cares for what he cares, he is sharp and analytical. he picks up things fast, he has great sensitivity towards his surroundings and emotions, he knows how to create a tight and knotty situation and get out safely. he manipulates (oh yeah~ he does that a lot), he makes uses of pple's strength and weakness, he is mean, possibly even evil but he does things for a purpose, he ignores for a cause, he reasons, he argues and he uses his own sense of logic, understanding and knowledge of the world to carry out his actions...
he says, protecting someone isn't literally about getting rid of all the dangers for the person, it is about making the person feel strong, even without you by the side... and i agree fully
he says to (his mirror image) person-with-hands-that-can-kill-with-a-touch that everyone that strives towards living does so with the clear revelation of death so that power to kill is the hands-of-gods, rather than his hands that can heal with a touch...and somehow constructing this in a sentence makes much more sense than when first spoken...
he says why save the dying guy who threaten him (with a gun to save his Alzheimer stricken wife) and his wife when it will only mean more pain for them since it will retrieve their memories of their tragically lost child... and while that seems harsh, those who love and lost might agree...
and so you see... a good show that attempts to balance logically engaging and confusing reasons with trilling stories... never an easy story to tell since it gets dull, dry and heavy easily but it got me intriged till the finals hasnt it~
